Lots of new things happening over here! Last week I started a new fulltime freelance job here. It is nice to be back on a schedule and I am really enjoying the work and everyone in the office!
I also never get tired of seeing things I designed in store and on the web so head over to Macy’s and check out these Clinique makeup bags that I worked on!
I also updated my design services section on the website just in case you need a designer, give me a ring!
We’ve recently added our wallpapers over to Pinterest, are you on it yet? If so lets follow each other!
Its Octover but the weather is feeling quite summer like here in NYC. 85 degrees today?! What! I actually can’t wait for the temp to drop a bit so I can break out the colorful tights. See above!
Hopefully back to some more regular blogging, see ya soon! xo!

We’ve had a lot of interest in using using our wallpaper ‘Striped’ in both Cloudberry and Cadmiun in a nursery so we thought that it would be fun to style a nursery around it. We tried to keep the room gender neutral yet add a bit of playfulness.
How would you style ‘Striped’ in a nursery? Check back for more ways to incorporate Kimberly Lewis Home wallpapers in interiors.
After a meeting last week about a possible collaboration I left with my head spinning with design ideas. One thing that keeps grabbing my attention is the painterly brushstroke style that has been popping up in home decor. It is something that I would love to experiment with. Looks like I am dusting off my old art school paints and paintbrushes!
I’ve been a fan of Nicole Cohen‘s abstract art of the blog Sketch42 abstract artwork. Even Kelly Wearstler is jumping on the painterly bandwagon with her Stripes Scarf. I’m a huge fan of “Bamboozle” from Jim Thompson No.9 Thompson. Pink and orange? Yes please! And of course pattern maven DVF can do no wrong with her DVF brushstroke plates.
What do you think? Are you liking the trend of adding painterly aspects to home decor?
On Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending the Design*Sponge Book Launch party at West Elm on the Upper West Side with my friend Marti. Believe it or not I had never stepped foot into this West Elm location so I had a little look around with a glass of prosecco in hand. Besides having a fabulous photo booth (see above!) they also had a silent auction going on with the proceeds benefiting the NY Public Library. One of my favorite pieces was the group of vases by of Erica of P.S. I made this… (top right) I feel a diy coming on! I got my book signed and have been flipping through it but have yet to dive in. Perhaps this weekend!
If you couldn’t tell by my previous post and purchase I am really feeling yellow these days and it seems that I am not the only one! Our wallpaper Sierra in Cadmium has been getting a lot of sample requests as well as Striped in Canary. Here are a few other ways to add some yellow into your life!

I am excited to introduce a new column to the blog called Studio Snaps. I’ll be posting weekly snapshots from around the studio and my adventures in NYC! Hope you enjoy the weekly peeks!
Before I had some fun this weekend I had to hunker down to finish up some work on Fridayy. Not very glamorous but someone needs to get those samples out to clients and the press! Here is a pile of ‘Striped‘ right after being cut and awaiting labels!
Look what came in the mail! I treated myself to a little present from Kate Spade‘s Online sample sale! I’ve had my eye on this bag for quite some time and was excited to get it for a good deal.
Gerber Daisies kept me company this weekend while working on the computer.
I spent some time picnicking in Prospect Park over the weekend with friends. Enjoyed the nice weather while it lasted! We have a rainy week ahead of us here in NYC!
Followed by Chinese Checkers (hadn’t played since I was little!) and wine to unwind!
How did you spend your weekend? Would love to here!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I spent mine with amazing friends and I have some wonderful news to share. I have decided to take the plunge into the big world of freelance design! It is a decision that I have been thinking about for a while now. I am really ready to take my career and business to the next level. I will be starting in October freelancing at a company that I have dreamed of working at since college!
In the meantime I have lots of other things under my belt such as growing my business, taking on my first decorating job, and little projects! I am feeling like there is never a dull moment and I love the momentum already!
I am also going to be rolling out new features on the blog this week. Change is in the air! Stay tuned!
